Hi, I’m Jennifer Wills! I founded Jen Explains Personal Finance because I invested over 12 years as a licensed financial coach and enjoy educating individuals and families on personal finance.
Since I struggled financially after my divorce, I used my financial knowledge and experience to secure a freelance writing contract with a marketing agency, blogging for an accounting and finance firm in 2015. My work encouraged the agency to let me blog for clients in other industries. Now I have experience writing for over 75 companies in as many industries.
To further share my knowledge and experience with personal finance, I decided to start a financial affiliate marketing business in 2025. Many of my friends ask me to teach them about financial topics, and they appreciate having a safe space to ask questions and check their understanding. How they make decisions and take action on what they learn is completely up to them.
Although understanding personal finance and becoming debt-free takes time, gaining peace of mind is worth the effort. You can look back on your hard work and say, “I did it!”
